Natalie Smith is a political communications specialist and organizer from Los Angeles, California. Previously to working in politics, Natalie got her degree in Acting from Penn State University and went on to become a ...professional actress, working at theatres throughout the Midwest and appearing on Chicago PD. Theatre taught her the importance of storytelling and empathic communication in effectively changing hearts and minds on important issues.
Now as a political organizer, Natalie has worked on a range of campaigns including a LAUSD School Board Election and the CA Yes on Prop 16 Campaign. She is currently a candidate for her Masters at Johns Hopkins in Political Communications.

Mónica V. Lazo is a native Angelino who as a first generation American understands the barriers, challenges and hurdles many of us face in today’s society. Mónica discovered her passion for organizing while
completing her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, when she joined the Coalition for a Safe Berkeley. The coalition main’s goal was to keep ICE out of Berkeley by breaking their partnership with the Berkeley PD and ICE’s Security Communities program.
Mónica’s professional diverse background ranges from experience in the corporate finance industry to the philanthropic sector. Now completely dedicated to community organizing and political change, Mónica has had the opportunity to work on housing at the California legislative level, Jail Reform at the County level, and statewide issue campaigns. Mónica is wholeheartedly committed to equity and representation in all facets of policymaking.
In her offtime you can find Mónica discovering Latinx authors or chasing after her beautiful brown boy turned T.Rex in their backyard.
